At GC Sails, we craft high-quality sail accessories in-house at our Gold Coast loft. Our boombags (aka stack packs or lazy jack boom bags) and boom covers are tailored for a precise fit and long-term durability, offering practical, low-fuss protection for your mainsail and rig.

Boombag Stack Packs

Designed to make hoisting and dousing your mainsail quick and stress-free, our Boombag Stack Packs are a must-have for short-handed or cruising sailors. Each one is custom-made to suit your boat, sail configuration, and hardware setup. Just complete our easy measurement sheet, submit it through the form below, choose your colour, and we’ll take care of the rest.

Features:

  • Constructed from premium Mariner Boat Hooding for durability and UV protection
  • Sewn with long-life PTFE UV-resistant thread
  • Available in a wide range of colours: Basalt (grey), Midnight (navy), Dune (cream), Flare (red), Scuba (burgundy), Sky (blue), Mermaid (aqua turquoise), Arctic (white), Arctic/Cream Base (off-white), Surf (light grey), Eclipse (black)
  • Heavy-duty full-length top zipper - UV and corrosion resistant - with the option to open from the front or rear
  • Zipper is fully removable for added flexibility
  • Custom front section for access to reefing systems and batten cars; designed to stay in place while sailing
  • Open rear section to accommodate reef lines
  • Twin-ply reinforcement at both ends to reduce chafe and wear
  • Reinforced 3- or 4-point lazy jack attachment points for secure and lasting support
  • Full-length internal battens for structure and a clean, streamlined look
  • Easy to install or remove without disturbing the sail
  • Mounted using slugs/slides, with gaps between to allow rainwater runoff
  • Optional boat name embroidery available (additional cost)

  • Sewn with high-performance PTFE UV-resistant thread for extended durability
  • Choice of Sunbrella colours to suit your boat’s style
  • Heavy-duty UV and corrosion-resistant front zipper for secure closure
  • Open rear section to accommodate reef lines
  • Twin-ply reinforcement at both ends to reduce chafe and wear
  • Webbing straps with quick-release clips underneath, designed for a snug fit while allowing water to drain
  • Optional boat name embroidery available (additional cost)
